Bass Fishing on Table Rock Lake right now is fantastic! Fish are really moving up big time on main lake and secondary points with spawning on their minds. From the Dam, Kimberling City-Baxter areas look for the bass on the flatter gravel points in the 8′-12′ of water range. Past couple cloudy days I’ve been out around Table Rock dam I’ve caught some of the fish shallower in a couple feet of water near the bank. First few hours in the morning may be slow (or not) but a slight warm up in the water temp will get them fired up and hungry! I’ve been doing the best fishing a 5” smoke/silver, smoke,  single tail grub on a 3/16 ounce head and a 1/4 ounce underspin swimbait. The water clarity is clear and seems to be getting clearer on the mainlake. 10′-12′ on average so wind or having a chop on the surface is important. The more the better. The stickbait bite is going great as well. Seems like later in the day is better on the jerkbait with the water warming slightly and more wind and fish moving up. Color doesn’t seem to matter as much, something with a clear or silver belly on sunny days and a white or chartreuse belly on the cloudy days. Let the bait suspend 3-5 seconds between twitches  and hold on because when you get a bite they’ll usually knock it very hard.

I’ve been chasing a lot of white bass in the James River. They’re on the way up river been doing the best from Cape Fair to Steamboat Springs. About any gravel flat bank with shad is likely to hold a big school of whites. You’ll have to do a lot of searching because they’re on the move so much. I’ve really been catching them on the A-rig with 3 white swimming fluke jr’s and two white color dummy baits as well as a chrome/blue pointer 78 jerkbait.

Below the dam on Taneycomo Trout fishing is fun and exciting as it gets! There id so many trout from Cooper Creek to Fall Creek. Been doing a little trout fishing around downtown Branson with the water on. Use a a pink trout worm or  trout magnet below a float on a 1/100th ounce head with a 6′-8′ leader or orange power egg on a small jig head. More and nicer trout have been comin from Fall Creek down to Short Creek on the same trout worm/magnet set up and 1/8 ounce sculpin jig hopping a bit off the bottom.
