Table Rock Bass and Taneycomo Trout Fishing Report

June 27,2016
Lake Level:916.8
Normal Pool:915
Water Temp:84-88 degrees

Fishing on Table Rock has been great this summer. Water temp’s are extremely high for this time of year having most of the bass out deep. Look in the river arm’s such as the James for a short lived top water bite or schooling fish but that won’t last long once the sun gets up. Try fishing the flats and channel swings 18′-25′ with a 1/2 ounce football jig or deep diving crankbait.
on the main lake from the dam to Shell Knob area look for the deep bite to be the best on flat gravel points and over deep submerged timber on the points and bluff ends. Fish will be 28′-45′ deep on the bottom and suspended anywhere from 25′-35′ deep over timber. The bass are biting 4” drop shot worms in watermelon/red and green pumpkin candy, night crawlers and 1/2 ounce white spoons.

On Taneycomo the trout are biting excellent. From Fall Creek up to the cables nice rainbows have been biting early on 1/8 ounce  sculpin jigs and a micro jig below a float on about a 6′ leader. Further down below Fall Creek to the Branson Landing area trout are going great on inflated night crawlers with or without the water running and pink trout magnets fished below a float with a 6′-9′ leader.
