July 4, 2017 Table Rock Lake Bass Fishing Guide Report Branson MO

Lake Level 920.8
Normal Pool 915

Water Temp 78-82 degrees

The bass fishing on Table Rock Lake right now is great!!!  With the high colored water and no thermocline bass are being caught a lot shallower for this time of year. Early and on cloudy days look for some smallmouth action around the dam to Baxter 5-12′  deep on the gravel flat banks. Try fishing a green pumpkin 3/8 football jig or 3/16 ned rig in dirt color. I’ve been out up the James fishing the same banks catching Kentuckies and blacks on a 1/2 ounce pb&j football jig and Carolina rigged baby brush hog.

The drop shot bite is going great as well. Seems like you have to do a lot of searching where the fish are at one day they’ll of moved off the next but once you find a school they’ve been biting. For the most part been catching them in 18-25′ of water close to the bottom on the gravel flat points. Also have been starting to catch some suspended in a few deeper trees in the same depth.  Been doing the best dropping a watermelon/candy Chompers 4″ worm and nightcrawlers.

The trout fishing on Taneycomo is has been a blast! 2-4 generators run regularly I’ve just been drifting from Fall Creek to Short Creek and Cooper to the Monkey Island area. So many trout are around its been fun and easy drifting two eggs in a chartreuse/white or chartreuse /orange color combo or cut in half inflated night crawler. With 2 generators on an 1/8 ounce drift rig works but with more current might have to bump up to 3/16 to 1/4 ounce size.
