July 1, 2018 Table Rock Lake Fishing Guide Report Branson Mo

Lake Level 917.0
Normal Pool 915
Water Temp 82-85 degrees

Its been a great week fishing on Table Rock.  Nice sized schooled up spotted bass mixed in with a few smallmouth are biting well from one end of the lake to the other. It’s been a lot of fun catching them on drop shots, 1/2 ounce spoons and night crawlers.  From the Dam area to Kimberling City,  Baxter area to Shell Knob as well as the James up to the Schoolhouse area look for fish on the long gravel run outs and flats 25-30′ deep on the bottom. They’ve been real active especially early showing themselves off the bottom a few feet making it easy to find them. Later in the morning with a high sun I’ve noticed earlier in the week a lot more fish beginning to move out to the 30′ range and beginning to suspend over deeper water on the same gravel points and a lot more fish suspending 25′-35′ deep in the deeper trees and boat docks. Most fish are throwing up shad coming up from the deep water seems like a 1/2 ounce white spoon is getting as many bites as the shot drop for the first hour or two then everything switching over to the worm or crawler. For the drop shotI’ve been catching the most on the 4″  Chomper’s in watermelon red and watermelon candy colors. If vertical fishing isn’t your thing or does slow down try dragging a Carolina rig centipede or brown and purple 1/2 ounce football jig behind the boat in 25′ of water on the gravel flat banks.

In memory of one of the best fishermen and best of men,
