May 7 2017 Table Rock Lake Fishing Guide Report

Lake Level 931.1
Normal Pool 915.0
Water Temp 64-68 degrees

Wild weather week for Table Rock! The bass fishing has been great just a bit different than it was previously.  The recent flooding rose the lake level quickly and brought some colored water in plus lost alost 10 degrees water temp. I haven’t been fishing any above Kimberling where the mud line , just around the Indian Point area to Point 6 then south towards Old 86 where it gets muddy again. I’ve been  at catching them good this week on a green pumpkin Chompers tube, Carolina rigged brush hog and shaky head worm. Fish are out on the old bank line 15-25′ deep on the same old gravel flat banks as they was before. Keep your boat close to 30′ deep and drag bottom. 1/4 ounce shaky heads and 5/16 ounce tube head weights are about the right size for fishing these banks at the current lake level. If the fish are reluctant to bite try dipping the tail in a bit of chartreuse dye to intise a bite. Had one cloudy windy morning this week out caught a couple on a cole-slaw colored spinnerbait in the flooded trees. I’m hoping when the water warms up more and gets more color this bite will get better.

Haven’t been on Taneycomo since the flooding began. So as far as trout fishing goes I won’t know for a while too much current.
